Rating: USCF membership required. Tournament will be USCF-online-rated in the quick category. Over-the-board ratings will not be affected. Tournament will also affect chess.com ratings, and pairings will be made according to chess.com ratings.

Entry fee: $7/ISCA member, $10/non-member. (Join ISCA) Registration ends 15 minutes before round 1. Follow directions below.

Prizes: The tournament will have place prizes, the number of which will be half the number of participants, rounded down, up to a maximum of 25 prizes. The prize fund will be 80% of entry fee revenue and will be divided among these place prizes in a geometric sequence such that each prize is 1.25 times the amount of the prize below it.

Example 1: If there are 10 players and the revenue is $85, then the prize fund will be $68 and there will be five prizes: 1st $20.23, 2nd $16.18, 3rd $12.95, 4th $10.36, and 5th $8.29.

Example 2: If there are 19 players and the revenue is $163, then the prize fund will be $130.40 and there will be nine prizes: 1st $30.12, 2nd $24.10, 3rd $19.28, 4th $15.42, 5th $12.34, 6th $9.87, 7th $7.90, 8th $6.32, and 9th $5.05.

The rest of the entry fee revenue is used to pay rating fees, transaction fees, labor costs, and other expenses.

Payouts: All prizes will be paid via PayPal, with no exceptions. Payment will be sent to the email address the player used when registering. If this email corresponds to a PayPal account, the payment will be deposited immediately. If it doesn’t, then PayPal will send an email with instructions for obtaining the funds. A player who refuses to create a PayPal account agrees not to receive a prize. Payouts will not occur until the fair play review has been completed, which typically takes less than a week.
