Bernard Parham I passed away on June 19, 2024 at the age of 77 in Lafayette. Indiana's 1967 state champion, he was known fondly by many over the years, especially in the chess community. He is survived by his wife Lugenia R (White) Parham, his daughter Lugenia Ojemann, his son Bernard Parham II, his twin Berni Smith, younger brother Richard Parham, youngest sister Portia Brown, as well as two grandsons Brian Evans and Jacob Evans, with several nieces and nephews.
